This stand is made of high grade acrylic and stainless steel. It is durable and unobtrusive. It has a very stable base and can accomodate a great deal of unusually shaped items and heavy weights. It gives your collectible the "Illusion" of floating. The base is transparent to allow for bottom up lighting and to blend into any decor scheme. Some common uses are: Display ammonites, minerals, mineral slabs, plates, jewelry, and for holding a bead so it may be wrapped with two hands. Note: When bending the steel wire, use two pliers so as to not pull the wire from the base.
